Imperium (2004) - Episode "Nero"

The second chapter of the historical miniseries the "Imperial" has started shooting "Nero" in Tunisia. It is the biggest production in Spanish television history with a budget of 125 millions euros, and with that amount of money the producers have achieved a reproduction of classic Rome. They also spent high sum of money on actors and wardrobe.

The filming of "Nero" will take place in different location across the Tunisian dessert. The miniseries is directed by Paul Marcus and the international stars are as follows : Hans Matheson, Laura Morante, John Simm, Michael Mendl, Ian Richardson, Jean Rochefort and Rike Schmidt.

Hans Matheson plays the corrupt Emperor, who in one of his bad moments orders some one to burn down Rome.

There are six chapters of the "Imperial" which features all the glorious and tragic moments of the Roman Empire. An Empire which conquered numerous territories in Europe, Asia, and Africa and became the most powerful civilisation of the old world.
